My absolute favourite moment of the month is when this HOT PINK parcel arrives in my mailbox.
How cute is that houndstooth pouch? Everything about this month’s bag was so perfect.
1. Ultra Precision Eye Liner by Doucce
Why is this perfect? Because I just ran out of my other black liner. Also, it’s velvet-y and lovely and no sharpener is required!
If you’re into deals like I am, take 30% off with the code “IPSY2015”! If liner’s not really your thing, you can use that on any Doucce products.
It feels a little weird that the company is named Doucce… because I keep reading it as “Douche.” Their website has a little explanation saying that the name “Doucce” comes from the French word “Douce” which means new and elegant. However, I also found a grammatical error on their site within the first 10 seconds of reading, so keep that in mind when you purchase. I don’t feel comfortable buying things from companies with spelling errors. #JournalistProblems
Cost of Product: $22.00
Cost of Sample: $22.00 (Full Size)
2. Soft Touch Slant Tweezers by Swissco
How cute are these? They really are soft and I can’t wait to try them out! I don’t normally use slanted tweezers because I think the straight-edged versions are easier to use and more precise, but I’m willing to change my ways! (The hot pink really helps.) They don’t actually sell these tweezers alone; they come with a mini version for your smallest hairs’ convenience.
Cost of Product: $10.00
Cost of Sample: $5.00
Ipsy Total: $27.00
3. Lip Gloss by Hikari Cosmetics
LOVING this colour. The problem is that I sunburned my lips so I’ve been dealing with a whole lot of lip issues – ALWAYS USE SPF. LEARN FROM ME! – so I haven’t been wearing any lip products at all until they heal. However, I was still excited to get this gloss and the shade Merlot is such a unique and intense mauve.
And… YES! Deals. Use the code “hikari30” for 30% off PLUS a FREE GIFT! What’s the free gift? An eye shadow. That’s music to my sweet little beauty-loving ears. Make sure you leave a lot of time if you want to go online shopping because their website is HTML-heavy and takes a while to load!
Cost of Product: $13.00
Cost of Sample: $13.00
Ipsy Total: $38.00 (Awesome!)
4. Dry Shampoo by Batiste
Dry shampoo is my favourite thing in the WORLD! Showering is just so much work and my shower is FREEZING so dry shampoo just eliminates the need for an extra day. Love it.
This particular dry shampoo is very very white and will turn your hair white if your arms aren’t long enough to spray it far away from your hair. I would suggest getting a Dry Shampoo Buddy to assist!
By the way, Batiste does not sell their products online from their website. You can purchase them at Target, Walgreens, Nordstrom and a few others but click here to go to a shoppable link on Amazon!
Cost of Product (6.73 oz): $9.04
Cost of Sample (1.6 oz): $2.15
Ipsy Total: $40.15
5. Nail Polish by Trust Fund Beauty
This colour (Elegantly Wasted) is GORGEOUS. It’s the perfect purple – not too light, not too bright. I really really love it… which is why I’m sad to say that for $15, I would not buy it. It chips very easily and it didn’t even last a day on my nails. Maybe I just live too wildly for nail polish! I will give the brand credit, though, since they are cruelty-free and they have amazing values and even more amazing style!
If you’re loving the colour as much as I am, splurge a little and get 35% off with the code “IPSYGIRL”! If purple’s not your style, don’t worry – that discount code works on all Trust Fund Beauty products.
Cost of Product: $15.00
Cost of Sample: $15.00
Ipsy Grand Total: $55.15
So, yet again, the ipsy bag is SUPER worth it and such a great value… oh, and it’s a lot of fun to get in the mail every month! Interested in getting your own subscription? Try it out for only $10/month + shipping by clicking my cute little link here. :) I get ipsy points if you subscribe, and you get a sweet new glam bag… I’d call that a win-win!
